Yard Labourer/Metals Purchaser

Seeking a full-time yard labourer in a busy metal recycling facility and pick‑a‑part vehicle scrap yard. The role involves heavy lifting, manual sorting of scrap metal, and assisting customers, coworkers, and clients in our busy recycling yard. It requires strong physical stamina, endurance and an ability to work outside in all weather conditions, as well as basic customer service and cash‑handling skills.

Core Responsibilities

• Customer Assistance: Provide exemplary customer service by helping unload customer vehicles and safely directing traffic in drop‑off areas. Train in office to respond to customer requests by phone or e‑mail, search online pick‑a‑part inventory, collect and process scale tickets, weigh incoming ferrous/non‑ferrous metals and charge clients accordingly.
