The Unit Clerk is an essential member of the interprofessional team on this acute internal medicine and pulmonary unit and is a major asset to the smooth and efficient operation of the unit. Working under the general supervision of the Manager/Unit Manager and Nurse Clinician/Charge Nurse, the Unit Clerk provides a variety of clerical support duties and is responsible for preparing and maintaining health records and other documentation related to the patient’s stay. The Unit Clerk serves as the point of first contact in matters concerning the efficient administration of the nursing unit.
