The Unit Clerk is responsible for: performing a wide variety of clerical duties including; maintaining patient charts; transcribing doctor's orders;facilitating the admission/discharge/transfer process; acting as a receptionist; maintaining a variety of statistical information for the unit; answering the telephone and taking accurate messages; calling in staff in accordance with the applicable collective agreements; assisting in coordinating staffing; inputting into the computer and writing reports; and performing other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
