Org. Setting and Reporting

This position is located in Bogotá in the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia (UNVMC). The Transport Officer will be in charge of the Transport Unit and will report to the Chief of Service Delivery Section. The incumbent is responsible for the following main duties:

1. Management of surface transport services in the UNVMC.
2. Implementation of measures and initiatives aimed at reducing road accidents and transport-related incidents within the UNVMC.
3. Development and management of the UNVMC Surface Transport Standard Operating Procedures.
4. Development and management of the Transport Unit budget for the UNVMC.
5. Supervision of the training activities to enhance the capacity of international and national staff members.
