Hit the road to a rewarding casual career on the North of Vancouver Island! We're seeking adaptable and community-focused Transit Drivers (Small Buses) to join our team, playing a vital role in keeping our communities of Port Hardy connected.

Compensation, Schedule & Training:

  • Schedule: This is a casual on-call driver position requiring split shifts (ie 6-10 and 3-7). Shifts will be assigned based on operational needs and require strong flexibility for various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, Saturdays, and statutory holidays.

  • Wage Structure:
  • Introductory Rate (first 6 months): $ per hour.

  • After 7 months: $ per hour.
  • Training: Successful candidates will complete a paid training program at a rate of $ per hour.

  • Union Affiliation: This position is part of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) - Local 882.
