At Huon we strive to be the best, and that’s exactly who we’re looking for to fulfill the role of Technical Officer in our Fish Health department. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Fish Health Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking sampling, health checks, and investigations at our marine or hatchery sites.
  • Coordinating the operation of hatcheries to promote fish health, taking into account environmental and market factors.
  • Enforcing animal welfare and biosecurity compliance within our operational teams.
  • Keeping up to date on salmon industry best practices
  • Working with research bodies to assist with data collection, analysis, and conclusive reporting of results for collaborative fish health projects.
