Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee the consolidated tax provision process for the quarterly financial reporting and related tax disclosures in accordance with IFRS – IAS 12.
Prepare and/or review Canadian corporate tax filings including T2, T106, T1134.
Co-ordinate with our global finance teams to ensure international tax filings are accurately completed and timely filed by local tax advisors.
Coordinate complex tax issues and prepare memos to support restructuring, technical issues, and/or filing positions.
Assist in tax research for complex tax issues and planning assignments incorporating tax laws of multiple North American and foreign jurisdictions.
Conduct tax due diligence as part of the M&A transaction process including identifying risks, mitigating factors, and providing overall tax structuring advice.
