As a member of the team, provides patient care through the provision of education and support to patients in the Program around issues related to their procedure and/or treatment. Work collaboratively with medical staff and other multi-disciplinary health care team members to assist in ensuring effective, evidence-based and high-quality patient-centred care.
Provides direct and indirect nursing support and care for patients including: preparation of patient for gynecology procedures, medication administration, set-up and operation of patient monitoring equipment, and managing recovering patients after procedural sedation and phase II recovery after general anesthesia.
