In your role as Supervisor, you will manage the day-to-day activities of the Plans Examination & Zoning Unit. Your responsibilities include ensuring adherence to building codes and regulations as well as supporting supervisors in various municipal projects. Your leadership will be integral in managing unit staff and driving service improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily operations of the Zoning Unit
• Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code provisions
• Act as Chief Building Official in manager's absence
• Aid in coordinating the Vacant and Dilapidated Building Program
• Monitor staff performance and development
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in building construction discipline
• 3 to 5 years of related supervisory experience
