A Sr.
SMT Manufacturing Engineer develops, implements and maintains methods, tools, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub assemblies and final assemblies.
They interface with Design, Test, and Reliability Engineering to create successful product launches and to solve problems.
They sustain products with cost reduction and yield improvements.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Develop pick and place and screen printer programs
Design with supplier the stencils
Develop oven profiles
Support to and implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools (SMED, one piece flow, manufacturing cells,
Self-directed teams, kan-ban, 5's, etc.
)
Continues quality improvements and elimination of non-value added activities.
Active participation in improvements of manufacturing metrics.
Manufacturing line and/or cells balancing according to TAKT time.
