The Sr. Power Systems Engineer provides applied electrical engineering and technical expertise for customers in the areas of power system design, power systems studies, power quality analysis, installation, startup, maintenance, and repair.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical power system engineering assessments in the areas of equipment installation, failed equipment analysis, equipment protection schemes, and grounding for Low, Medium and High Voltage installations
Perform studies including short-circuit calculations, protection and coordination analysis, arc-flash hazard analysis, harmonic system analysis, grounding (step/touch and GPR), and motor starting studies
Power Quality analysis, including capacitor and harmonic filter selection
Perform electrical design improvements primarily to support the upgrade of electrical distribution
