Provide assessment, treatment, education, and counselling to adult inpatients with swallowing and communication impairments within subacute and acute stroke patient population.
Support a variety of subacute and acute medical and rehabilitation adult populations within Markham Stouffville Hospital.
Participate in ongoing program development and quality‑improvement activities.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Current registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario.
At least 2 years recent experience with dysphagia and communication disorders in a subacute and/or acute medical environment (e.g., ALC, general medicine, neurology, stroke rehab).
Proficiency with videofluoroscopic swallow studies; MBSImP certification.
