Job Overview

Reporting to the Manager, the Safety Consultant is accountable for the application of safety practices and standards to protect, promote and maintain the health & safety of the SHA. The incumbent implements the SHA Management System that supports the existing Safety Program, exceeding minimum health & safety standards. The Consultant ensures consistent application of all patient and staff safety legislation, regulations, and practices, quality improvement methodologies, and client concern handling. The position maintains quality and safety as outlined in the SHA Quality & Safety Plan and supports the deployment of the SHA Management System throughout the organization.
