SOC 201: Globalization and Development. This course introduces students to sociological analyses and theories on the rise of global society. Specific topics may include issues such as the development of capitalist industrial societies, local and global inequalities, and the ways in which economic, technological, and political changes shape the world we live in. Position Requirements - Hold a MA in Sociology; - A record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level; - Have experience managing classroom and online technologies used by the University of Regina (including UR Courses [Moodle])
