Responsibilities

• Drive lightweight special purpose trucks.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Pay and receive payments for goods.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Tarp the cargo and ensure safety and security.

Qualifications

• Air brakes endorsement.
• Driver's licence (Class 1 or A) – valid driver's licence required.
• Knowledge of driver logbook, inspection reports, maintenance/repair reports, and trip reports.
