Our client in the Broader Public Sector is looking to hire a full-time Senior Corporate Accounting Technician on an initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of a 3-month extension.
The Senior Technician, reporting to both the Corporate Accounting Supervisor and Tax Manager, manages expense processing, reconciliations, and journal entries while supporting tax filings and resolving related issues. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail, ensuring efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions, including issuing cheques and electronic payments, verifying receipt of services, coding transactions, and entering data into the accounting system.
Reconcile accounts, ledgers, and daily balances in a timely manner.
