Responsibilities
Own defined parts of the platform architecture — boundaries are set with the principal engineer as the platform grows.
Design and build the AI agent pipelines — document parsing, extraction, analysis, and pricing.
Make infrastructure decisions across AWS that support 5x growth without 5x cost.
Write production code daily.
Define and enforce engineering standards through CI, linters, and code review.
Build the data pipelines that process DOT state pricing, bid documents, and historical project data.
Work directly with the founder and the existing principal engineer on product direction and technical tradeoffs.
