Senior Mining Engineer (Independent Contractor)

Locations: St. Johns, NL; Brampton, Sudbury; North Bay, ON.

The Senior Mining Engineer (Independent Contractor) participates in a wide range of projects covering technical and economic evaluations related to mining engineering, mine planning, mineral processing, and financial analysis with proven technical competencies to support both underground and surface mining operations. This position will also contribute to business development and growth of the US Mining operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect new and existing mining sites to determine the best ways to extract specific materials from the ground. This includes visiting sites in person and using maps and geological data to estimate material reserves.
• Provide mining engineering and design services for underground mine studies, such as scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed design, and NI 43-101 technical reports.
