Senior Mechanical Engineer – AECOM Buildings + Place

Location: Markham/Thornhill office (hybrid work). Some travel may be required.

Scope: Lead building projects including commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities such as Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and Sewage Lift Stations.

Major Responsibilities

• Mechanical Project Lead responsible for design and construction administration.
• Independently perform all tasks necessary to complete primary design at early stages and develop the concept to detailed design, coordinating with all disciplines.
• Design HVAC, controls, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using industry programs (Carrier HAP).
• Perform calculations, conduct design drawing reviews, and field investigations.
• Ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards.
