Our client, located in Scarborough (4 days in office), is an exciting & dynamic utilities company and looking for a Senior Manager, Tax to join their team.
Essential Tasks
Overall management of the tax compliance process (Canadian, and US) for corporations, trust, and partnerships that are prepared by the Big 4 accounting firms
Correspondence with CRA, Revenue Quebec, IRS, and other tax authorities as a main point of contact
Review select HST/GST/QST compliance of corporate entities and development
Annual filings for selected listed financial institution HST/GST/QST
Work with finance team supporting with preparing tax projections
Research and analyze tax matters and inquiries related to tax planning strategies for new projects
Design and recommend technology and process
Design, document, and implement internal controls and processes where needed.
