Job Description

On behalf of our public‑sector client, Affinity is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work on a part‑time basis.

Responsibilities

Stream 1 — Platform Support & Maintenance (~50% of effort)

• Monitor overall platform health and proactively identify issues
• Triage and resolve data pipeline failures
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and deploy controlled fixes
• Maintain operational documentation, including runbooks, defect logs, and architecture guides
• Validate data integrity and accuracy across systems
• Communicate issues, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders

Stream 2 — Platform Development & Enhancement (~50%+ of effort)

• Onboard new datasets from operational source systems
• Transition reporting to a modernized platform in alignment with upcoming timelines
