Selkirk Mental Health Centre (SMHC) Security Services is built around a recovery model where building relationships with patients, staff, and the public is encouraged. SMHC is a 252‑bed, 24‑hour facility that provides specialized inpatient mental health and acquired brain injury treatment and rehabilitation services to residents of Manitoba and Nunavut. The role provides safety and security to approximately 700 staff, 252 patients, families, and visitors on a rotational basis to support the recovery and reintegration of patients into the community.
Provide safety and security for staff, patients, families, and visitors. Duties include assisting with pre‑landing inspections, activating emergency systems, and aiding in patient off‑loads. Must work mandatory weekend shifts and holidays.
