Education: College, CEGEP, or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience. Work setting: Group home.
Responsibilities
Prepare reports or case histories.
Perform administrative and office activities.
Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs.
Perform housekeeping activities.
Prepare food.
Resolve conflict situations.
Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half‑way houses.
Implement behaviour management programs.
Assist clients/guests with special needs.
Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
Certifications and Licences
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Certificate.
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
