Registered Veterinary Technician – Anesthesia (Surgery & Neurology)

We are a Level1 certified veterinary hospital located in beautiful British Columbia on the outskirts of Vancouver. We welcome experienced technicians and recent graduates who are interested in anesthesia for surgical and neurological cases. Training and mentorship are provided.

Responsibilities

• Patient care and basic skills: perform TPRs and IV catheter placements, take thorough patient histories, communicate effectively, prepare patients and assist with surgical procedures, clean and sanitize instruments.
• Anesthesia and monitoring: administer and monitor anesthesia across ASA classifications I–V, utilize ECG, doppler, oscillometer, pulse oximetry, capnography, perform endotracheal intubation and manage airway, administer IV fluids and emergency drugs, assist with anesthesia for MRI, CT, diagnostic, elective and emergent procedures, apply advanced techniques such as TIVA, ep...
