Regional Specialized Mental Health Program Clinical Rehabilitation Evaluation Unit

Northern Lights Lodge provides tertiary mental health services to individuals within the North East region who are experiencing serious mental illness requiring a longer and more intensive approach to assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation than is provided by district level inpatient services.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration ~ College of Nurses of Ontario required
• In-depth knowledge of serious mental illness from a biopsychosocial perspective
• Knowledge of Recovery Oriented Practice Supporting Patient Choice
• Knowledge of psychiatric pathology, psychiatric interviewing/assessment, pharmacological management and health teaching required
