Detailed Overview

As part of the New Graduate Nurse (RN/RPN) Program and reporting to the Manager, Health Services, the newly graduated Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) provides nursing care to patients/clients consistent with current Standards of Professional Practice and the Nursing Philosophy of Fraser Health. The RN/RPN plans, organizes and implements nursing care for patients/clients receiving medical and surgical care. Responsibilities Provides direct nursing care to patients/clients based on nursing knowledge and in conformance with established standards and hospital policies by performing such duties as assessing patient care needs, identifying problems, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting nursing care.
