Job Summary and Qualifications

The Ambulatory Mental Health RN will be a member of the interprofessional team providing assessment, care, and treatment in Psychiatry. In collaboration with other team members, the nurse will provide psychosocial support and counselling through regular, patient‑centred follow‑up. The role may also include assisting the neuromodulation team with assessment, coordination, and application of various treatments in the clinics, including the application of energy for rTMS, assisting with the application and recovery of ECT, administering and assessing the effectiveness of treatments and medication. The RN will provide quality follow‑up education and counselling to clients between and during treatments, collect and submit required monthly statistical data ensuring accuracy, conduct mental status evaluations, collect collateral information, facilitate referrals, and source outpatient and community resources.
