Overview

Highland Community Midwives are a team of five practicing midwives who provide maternity care within Antigonish and Guysborough counties, Nova Scotia. The practice operates a shared‑care model, with a midwife and backup midwife on‑call together for home births, sleep relief, and extra support. The team covers a rural population, providing care close to home for clients throughout the region.

Location

Antigonish, Nova Scotia – a small university town located approximately two hours from Halifax. The community offers parks, beaches, and a vibrant arts & music scene.

Role

Registered Midwife – temporary one‑year position with strong potential to extend. The role requires travel across the catchment area for home visits and hospital births at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital.
