What you’ll do
Act as a receptionist greets patients, clients, visitors and directs them to appropriate areas. Provide information services; respond to requests for information, such as location of facilities and personnel, telephone numbers and general information or refers to others. Maintain lists, staff directories and tidiness of reception area.
Operate a switchboard to answer incoming calls; obtains/provides information, transfers to the appropriate department/area, takes/relays messages and/or pages as required. Respond to emergency signals in accordance with established codes and procedures.
Process incoming and outgoing mail; receive, open and date stamps incoming mail, packages, sorts and distributes, prepares outgoing mail, signs courier receipts and sends/receives faxes.
