This position is responsible for the direction, coordination, and supervision of employees working in the planning and procurement of goods and services such as raw materials, parts, components, supplies, finished products, and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
They will manage the daily activities of Buyers and the Purchasing staff to achieve the company's goals.
They will review and approve purchases as authorized, develop policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities, manage the supplier base, and coordinate purchasing activities with other departments to maintain inventories at planned levels.
