The Purchaser is responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, packaging, ingredients, and operational supplies to support manufacturing and distribution within the food industry. This role ensures materials are procured at the best value while meeting quality, food safety, regulatory, and delivery requirements to maintain continuous production and timely distribution. Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers
Request and compare price quotations
Lead price, contract, and terms negotiations with suppliers to secure the best value
Negotiate delivery schedules, payment terms, and service agreements
Create and process purchase orders
Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records
Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed
