About the Next Gen Institute: The Next Gen Institute (NGI) is a Canadian nonprofit initiative focused on equipping young Canadians with the knowledge they need to understand personal finance, government finance, and civic responsibility. NGI will produce modular, curriculum-aligned educational resources that teachers can integrate directly into existing courses such as CALM, Social Studies, Civics, and Economics. Each NGI module includes a professionally produced 5-minute educational video, a student workbook, a teacher’s guide, curriculum mapping aligned to provincial standards, and assessment materials. Resources are provided free of charge to educators across Canada, beginning with a 2026 pilot launch in Alberta.
