About This Opportunity

Responsibilities

This position is accountable for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant's operating unit. The Process Operator/Power Engineer will monitor operating equipment, prepare it for maintenance, and ensure a safe working environment for everyone at Yara Belle Plaine.

  • Follow procedures to control the process ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation.

  • Determine maintenance needs, prepare the equipment for maintenance, and provide a hazard free environment while maintaining unit operations and ensuring the least impact on production.

  • Learn all areas within the assigned operating unit and progress in increasing levels of responsibility with an aim to be a panel qualified operator within 5 years.

  • Work towards improving knowledge within the operations department and ensure the operating teams skill levels are maintained or increased by acting as a trainer, identifying areas of weakness, he...
