Serve as working leader for group of automation and process engineers driving new equipment & system introductions, process improvements and cost reduction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead team of Automation and Process engineers in the development startup, and scaleup of high volume discreet manufacturing equipment.
Develop and maintain learning plans for engineering team
Provide controls and mechanical engineering expertise in support of new equipment & system introductions, cost reductions, maintenance, and productivity improvements.
Interface with external system integrators and machine builders to successfully deliver fully integrated automation equipment to Corning’s plants on-time, on-budget, and that satisfy performance measures.
Actively participate / direct all phases of the project including design, fabrication, installation, production start-up support, training of plant personnel and sustainment.
