SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Reporting to the Parks District Supervisor, Playgrounds, performs inspections and audits of play structures and performs general maintenance related to the repair/replacement/maintenance of components and the required ground maintenance activities to play structures, splash pads, tennis courts, bocce courts and other multipurpose courts.

Work includes performing duties related to playground safety inspections; Provides related technical information and assistance to supervisors; installs, repairs, and cleans playground equipment; works with contractors and manufacturers on proper playground installation.

Repairs, replace, inspects and performs other necessary actions to keep playground equipment in compliance with CSA and AODA regulations and manufacturers specifications.

Repairs, replace, inspects and performs other necessary actions to spray pads, skateparks, tennis courts, basketball courts and bocce courts.
