Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Planning Engineer for a 12-month contract to support a large utilities company's Grid Analytics & Data Modernization team in enabling modern planning and forecasting capabilities for distribution system planning, including DER and DSO planning. This contract role works closely with internal engineering teams and external vendor partners to define requirements, validate data and analytical results, coordinate testing, and support training and adoption of new planning toolsets. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in power system planning combined with modern analytics and data practices, and will contribute to system planning analyses, planning insights, and the modernization of planning-related data and reporting to improve planning quality, consistency, and timeliness, enabling better investment decisions and overall system performance.
This role is a hybrid, 2x/week in office in Vaughn.
