Physician – Pain & Symptom Management/Palliative Care

Position: 0.6 FTE, based at BC Cancer – Victoria.

As a fully licensed physician, you will participate in the clinical, educational and research activities of the Pain and Symptom Management/Palliative Care (PSMPC) team. Responsibilities include:

• Addressing palliative care needs of ambulant cancer patients integrated with oncological management.
• Facilitating a coordinated approach and ensuring continuity of palliative care through effective communication and transfers back to community-level physicians, home care/palliative care services.
• Providing consultation and education to BC Cancer care teams and community-based care providers as required.
• Supporting and engaging in research and education interests in the area of palliative and supportive care.
