Physician - Hospitalist

Position Summary

Liberty Hospital, part of the University of Kansas Health System, seeks a hospitalist to join its expanding inpatient department. The candidate will provide inpatient medical care on a seven-days-on, seven-days-off schedule, including 20 weekends per year. Patient-care shifts run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with an optional extended weekend shift ending at 7:00 PM. Swing-shift admission coverage is from 4:00 PM to midnight (Monday-Thursday). Overnight in-house coverage is managed by nurse practitioners. The candidate may participate in procedures, though this is not required.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine
• Eligibility for licensure in Missouri
