There is a 1.0 FTE position for a Physician Assistant at the Peter Lougheed Centre (PLC), part of the Obstetrics and Gynecology service. A completed PA degree is required.

PLC is a community hospital in Calgary’s North East quadrant that serves a diverse patient population and provides a busy Labour/Delivery unit (over 6,000 deliveries per year) as well as elective and emergency gynecologic surgeries. The successful applicant will join a supportive, collegial team of obstetricians, gynecologists, resident physicians, and nurse practitioners. The typical work week is Monday–Friday, 8‑hour days, supporting the OB/GYN team and admitted patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with caesarean sections on labour/delivery units and in gynecologic surgeries.
