The Island Health Division of Rehabilitation Medicine has an opening for a general physiatrist to join six others in providing a consultative service at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and surrounding areas. Candidates with expertise and interest in the rehabilitation of individuals with neurological diseases, post‑traumatic impairments and amputations, rehabilitation in hospital‑based practice, and outpatient settings are encouraged to apply. The position is based at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital which has a 25‑bed inpatient intensive rehabilitation unit in addition to slow‑stream and transitional rehabilitation units.

This is a general program providing the full scope of rehabilitation services.
