Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief of Paramedic Services, the Advanced Care Paramedic is responsible for providing both primary and advanced medical care within the established scope of practice and the limitations set by Health Sciences North Centre for Prehospital Care (HSNCPC). The role also includes safe and timely transportation of ill or injured patients to, from, or between health care facilities, and engagement in patient‑centric advocacy.

Qualifications and Specific Skills

• Graduate from an approved paramedic program as defined in Ontario legislation.
• Registered Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant in Ontario.
