Reporting to the Director of Parts and Warehouse – Eastern Canada, the Inventory Specialist optimizes parts inventory management across the Toromont Material Handling branch network.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, optimize, and maintain appropriate inventory levels to improve stock turnover and customer service levels.
Define and recommend inventory management strategies to enhance the effectiveness of the distribution network.
Reduce inventory obsolescence through elimination, redistribution, or rationalization of stock across branches.
Review and process quarterly or semi-annual excess inventory returns to suppliers, ensuring accuracy of customer and supplier records.
Process replenishment orders with suppliers based on network requirements.
Manage daily customer emergency orders by sourcing from suppliers or leveraging internal stock.
