Department: Emergency Department

The Emergency Department is open 24 hours/day 7 days per week. It is staffed by a multi‑disciplinary team of registered nurses, registered respiratory therapists, social services, crisis intervention, orthopedic technicians and other members of our health care team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Experience/Knowledge:

• Current Certificate of Registration ~ College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (HCP) Certificate is required (recent within the last twelve months)
• Current Advanced Cardiac life Support (ACLS) Certificate (within 2 years) required
• Coronary Care Course (min. 25 hrs.) and/or Lead II/12 Lead Interpretation Course (min. 25 hrs.) required
• Minimum (2-3 years) experience working on a Medical or Surgical Unit required
• Minimum (1-2 years) experience in Emergency (within the last 2...
