Administer firewalls: implement policies, perform daily housekeeping, conduct regular rules review and clean-up, and provide support during incidents.
Use firewall tools such as Firewall Analyzer (AlgoSec or FireMon): optimize tool usage, configure regular reports for daily clean-up and rules usage.
Manage workload efficiently and escalate when needed to keep it at a reasonable level.
Propose architecture or tooling improvements based on issues and events identified in daily operations.
Participate in first-level on-call duty.
Support IT production teams on security best practices.
Assess infrastructure and applications to ensure that the security model and principles are applied at application level, network level, and between inter and intra DMZs.
Contribute to internal IT projects within the team.
