Position Overview We are presently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Network Specialist to join our team. You will play a critical role in designing, installing, and maintaining IT network infrastructure across multiple sites in Canada. Your expertise will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our network systems to support organizational operations. This position will be located at our offices in either Calgary, Alberta or Ottawa, Ontario.
Responsibilities
Plan, design, and install new network systems, including hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and software, to support business operations effectively.
Perform routine maintenance, schedule updates, and execute upgrades to ensure network systems operate at peak performance.
Implement and manage network security measures such as firewalls, access controls, and encryption to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with NIST 800-171 standards.
