BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• Demonstrate proficiency in performing MRI imaging exams for all ages and adhere to safety procedures.
• MRI Tech operates the MRI equipment, prepares patients for procedures, and ensures that enough information has been obtained to make a diagnosis, assist in the management of patients and present images to the physician for diagnosis.
• Intravenous therapy/contrast selection and injection.
• Prepare and enter written documentation as required by the department, such as informed consent.
• Float to off-sites as needed
• Rotating weekends and holidays required.

SPECIAL SKILLS OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program
• ARRT/NYSDOH License required. MRI Certification preferred.
