Mechanical Design Engineering I Location: Burlington, Kitchener, or Peterborough, Ontario (Hybrid: 2 days onsite per week).
Salary range: $77,600 to $97,000 per year.
About the Role As a Mechanical Design Engineering I you will design mechanical systems and components for the traditional nuclear market and new projects developing nuclear technology and future nuclear‑powered systems.
You will report to the Robotic Tooling Design Manager.
Responsibilities
Develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro‑mechanical first‑of‑a‑kind tooling.
Assemble and test custom equipment through the design evolution from prototype to finished product.
Develop test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specifications.
Operate the final tooling system in customer facilities.
Provide technical oversight and mentoring to junior engineering team members.
