**Position Summary**:
The Materials Planner key responsibility is to expedite or de-expedite direct material and adjust supplier schedules according to the demand plan and assure there's no excess or shortage of direct material per product demand requirements.
Ensure material is delivered on time and maintains reasonable inventory levels.
Monitor supplier delivery performance, backlog, and escalate potential supplier delivery issues that place the assembly line at risk of shutting down production.
