Position Overview

BDC is the only bank dedicated exclusively to Canadian entrepreneurs. The Business Centre Manager leads and develops a team of Mid‑Market Account Managers, strengthens BDC’s market presence in Calgary, and builds long‑term relationships within the local business community. The role drives portfolio growth by coaching and partnering with Account Managers to source, develop, and recommend high‑quality financing and advisory transactions in alignment with BDC’s credit policies and risk parameters.

Challenges to be Met

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Mid‑Market Account Managers in the Calgary territory, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention.
• Drive business development by actively building and maintaining relationships with local entrepreneurs, professional advisors, and referral partners, while collaborating with Account Managers to generate new financing and advisory opportunities.
