Interior Health is currently seeking a casual Life Skills Worker I to join our Mental Health Substance Use (MHSU) Complex Care Program team in Kamloops, B.C. What will you work on?
The Complex Care Program supports people who face significant mental health and substance use and/or medical challenges that result in difficulty finding and maintaining a home. It is housing that provides ongoing care through a variety of health services and supports, all within a home environment.
Life Skills Workers play an important role in care. They plan, observe, monitor and report on clients’ progress and level of acceptance to services and support. They assist clients with activities associated with daily living and work to demonstrate and model appropriate behaviors related to problem solving and decision making.
